I had to throw that out there. They’re still in prison for doing the job they were hired and trained to do and the illegal is still, as far as I know, smuggling drugs.
We have a NASA scientist calling for the criminal prosecution of oil company executives for “climate crimes”. Didn’t they do this to the tobacco executives? Has the whole world gone completely insane? I think this guy has been drinking the LOX. Talk about brain freeze.
Whats the old saying, “There’s a fine line between genius and madness” Sounds to me like the line seperating genius and madness in this guy has been blurred just a touch.
Fred Thompson wrote a great piece in Townhall;
In Boumediene v Bush, besides, for the first time in history conferring habeas corpus rights on alien enemies detained abroad by our military during a war, the Court struck down as inadequate what Chief Justice John Roberts called “the most generous set of procedural protections ever afforded enemy combatants.”
Seems we were already giving these whack jobs more rights than they deserved, but that wasn’t good enough for the learned Justices on the bench.
J D Pendry has a great column on mutha and the Politboro er I mean SCOTUS decision in Boumediene v Bush.
It really added insult to injury for me with the latest Supreme Court, or is it now the Politburo, atrocity committed against the United States of America. When we capture bin Laden now, according to the decision, we will have to bring him here and give him the rights afforded any United States citizen under the Constitution. When a collection of people with lifetime appointments have suicidal ideations for our country, then the treatment that our Service men and women receive from politicians and the press should not be too shocking. It does not matter who is in the Whitehouse because the Supreme Politburo of the United States has usurped his or her constitutional authority as Commander in Chief. Every enemy prisoner of war taken on any battlefield now has rights under the Constitution of the United States.
OK now some good news:
According to the good folks over at Blackfive, we’ll be turning over control of Al Anbar Province in a few weeks to the Iraqi National Army.
Of course, the mainstream media is all over this story of success in Iraq and the good work our Warriors are doing. Oh wait, whats that? ~~ ~~ ~~ Sorry I can’t hear you over the crickets chirping.
Don’t forget, (as if we’d let you), this Thursday 1600 to 0000 (thats 4PM to midnight for the militarily impaired) Melanie Morgan (be still my heart) and Michelle Malkin (I said BE STILL), will host the web a thon to send the single largest shipment of care packages to our Warriors in history. There are some major conservative players associated with this effort. Call in, donate, submit a soldier or Marine to receive a package. Just let them know you’re listening and appreciate what Mel has accomplished over the past 5 years.

They operate with the bare bones and a can do attitude. Adapt and overcome are the pillars of their structure, while rebuilding in an insurgent filled area. Police stations are built and governed by Lt’s, and life and death decisions are made by 20 something year olds.
They sleep in WWII era wooden huts and sleeping bags, as the constant blowing dirt finds its way into everything they own. They cherish the basic things most take for granted in the states. Operating flawlessly in the 100+ weather is not the exception, it’s the expected. They are a tight group that redefines the phrase, “No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy”.
I finished reading David Bellavia’s “House to House”. I’m not a book critic and I haven’t given a book report since high school, so the best critique I can offer is this:
GET THIS BOOK!!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!!! I am in awe of these young men. You will be as well.
